Biok Chair

The Biok chair is a classic of Spanish design, the work of the abstract sculptor Néstor Basterretxea. Manufactured in Irún in the 1960s. We have renewed the seat lattice, woven strand by strand. Hand-braided with plant fibers, they are interlaced in a handcrafted way, following the philosophy of well-done work, where quality takes precedence over speed of finish. Our artisans require more than 15 hours to complete this meticulous task. In this very avant-garde chair, the influence of Nordic design and Japanese aesthetics can be perceived.
