These Cesca chairs, original design by Marcel Breuer from 1928, are of great beauty and quality, as well as a rarity due to their edition. The chrome tubes are made of a single piece (without caps at the ends). The backrest resembles the shape of a heart. And the breadth of its dimensions and the quality of the materials make it unmistakable compared to its contemporary replicas.
The hand-woven grids with plant fibers, strand by strand, are interlaced in a handcrafted manner, with the philosophy of well-done work, where quality takes precedence over the speed of finishing. Our artisans require more than 20 hours per chair to complete the wooden frames.
This Gavina edition is only comparable to that of Thonet or Knoll. Made in Spain by the company MYC, in a decade (the 60s and early 70s), when the manufacturing of international design furniture was nationalized in our country. For this reason, it is a temporary, unique, and unrepeatable rarity. Acquiring this edition is to become part of the history of the most iconic chairs in design. And an investment for the future since they will continue to appreciate over time.
